Swiss Epic is an MTB stage race. It is part of the Epic Series containing Cape Epic (ZA) and The Pioneer (NZ)
During 5 days pro (UCI) and amateur mountain bikers conquer the Swiss Alps and cover 350 km and a total of 12.000 vertical meters.
Our task:
The Swiss Epic AG commissioned us to cover their event and provide them with photo material. The main goal is to illustrate the beauty of the
landscape combined with mountain bike action. Specifically pictures showing the top teams on course are requested.
During each ongoing stage our photo team had a filled up shot list, from photos of the UCI start to food stations, points of interest, top teams crossing the finish line, emotions from the race village, race sponsors etcetera.
Output:
During the running stages a small selection of photos from the tracks are sent directly via mobile out to the Swiss Epic media team, who kept the official social media channels live updated.
After each stage a daily selection of photos is uploaded into a media pool for affiliated teams, online magazines, partners of Swiss Epic.
After the event a broader selection of photos is transferred to the organization for promotional purposes for next year’s event.
