Rad am Ring is a 24h road bike event held on the famous German Nürburgring. Normally this is a circuit for racing cars but
for one weekend it turns into a big bike festival.

Our task
The task is to provide the organizer with images that capture the character of the event. Beyond that,
they need a selection of the pictures within few hours to keep their social media updated.

Details
We had a briefing with eventwerkstatt GmbH, the organizer of the event to discuss what exactly their needs are. Since we are photographing
this event for them for the third year now we had their believe and trust. So they gave us merely a free choice of how we translate this
general demand of capturing the feeling of the event into pictures. Besides this universal
assignment, we had some specific jobs.
One target was a picture showing the first big bunch of riders entering the race circuit right after the start. Other particular requests were
emotional close-ups in the paddock, night impressions on the course, some branding of sponsor partners and participants
interacting with their medals after finishing the 24h event.

The outcome
Some pictures were used right away in the social media feeds of the organization.
More photos are used in the brochure for the next year’s event and on the official homepage.
